Community Assistance Analysis
Community Assistance Analysis
The City of Frankfort is working to address service gaps in our community for those who may be experiencing homelessness and housing challenges. Frankfort is fortunate to have a strong group of agencies in our community dedicated to providing assistance to those who need it. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused hardships for many people and has exhausted many of our existing resources.
These issues have been a priority for the Frankfort community for over 10 years. An intitial Homelessness Study was conducted in 2008 by a community task force. In order to continue the work outlined in that plan, as well as to address current service gaps in the Frankfort community and to help create a strong network of agencies who can continue to connect residents to resources, the City is facilitating the CARES Coaltion. The Coalition will bring service agencies together to leverage more resources and to do long-term planning around four goal areas: homelessness prevention, transitional housing, community advocacy, and agency trainings. More detailed information on the Coalition as well as the Homelessness Study may be found in the documents section of this survey.
As the Coaltion is setting goals for our community, we want to hear from you. Please give your feedback on access to services in our community. All feedback will be incorporated into action items for the Coaltion.
